Being a true sense of the term "Georgia Peach", I was born and raised in Georgia doing things like playing outside in the creek till dark, getting my bell bottoms stuck in my bicycle chain when I didn't take the time to wrap a rubber band around my ankles, listening to Hank and Willie and hearing the truth about God.

I went on to graduate with a bachelor of fine arts degree from Georgia State University. Right after graduation I married my second half, he literally completes me making up for the things I'm missing.

I met my husband in 1988 at the Georgia Jam featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Georgia Satellites at the original Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta. When I found out the young man I'd met while a full stadium was chanting "Freebird!" cut timber for a living, lived in a historic small town south of Atlanta, had a farmhouse out in the middle of nowhere and had the sweetest pitfbull named Puddin I've still to this day ever met; I knew it was a done deal.

I've always adored small quaint towns and farmhouses so marrying and taking up residence in my husband's late grandmother Daisy Harris' little 200 year old farmhouse in Senoia, Georgia has been the perfect life for me. Here, my husband and I have raised 2 fellas, 4 dogs, and I've lost count on the chickens.

JackLeg was born in the middle of the night straight out of a deep sleep. I woke up and immediately saw in my mind a line of clothing and accessories adorned with my quirky photographs. Snapping photos started as an outlet to kill time but as I continued, the reality of how much I loved preserving a time forgotten by most became evident.

The name JackLeg came from a photo where my rotti pit mix decided it was a good idea to photobomb a pic of the farmhouse with his hind leg. He's the type of dog that lives off of belly rubs which was simply his motive but little did he know he'd end up having a brand named after his efforts.

It's my desire that JackLeg would bring out the inner country boho hippy side in its wearers; even in the most cautious of types. Each piece of JackLeg has my home, heart and soul poured into it with my own original art form at it's core but honestly none of it would be possible without God giving me the vision, my husband's generous support and my small squad of cheerleaders.

Thank you for your interest and for giving JackLeg a look!

JackLeg would also like to thank...

Jenn Schwier, the stitch doctor behind JackLeg who puts up with me and my crazy ideas. Her skill is beyond exquisite; she is meticulous with everything she touches. I am beyond thankful to have found her, she is truly a Godsend! When she's not behind the sewing machine, she does a lot of knitting and hand-making all sorts of other things. She also loves to write stories and read good books. Oh, and she doesn't like morning people.
